On July 7th, 2014, the World Finance, one of the world leading magazines in finance field officially announced the list of winners for its prestige Investment Management Awards 2014. This year SSI Asset Management Ltd (SSIAM) is the only Vietnam Company presented as the winners for “Best Investment Management Company” in Vietnam.
"Best Investment Management Company" award was a result of SSIAM contributions to and efforts in developing the local market. Even though local funds in the market had dipped by up to VND8.8 trillion (US$419 million) last year, SSIAM had successfully raised new capital and effectively managed existing investments. Total assets managed by SSIAM increased by 26 per cent, a value of VND3.365 trillion ($160.2 million). Meanwhile, in 2013, the company's revenue reached VND30 billion ($1.4 million), and its profits before tax amounted to VND15 billion ($700,000).
In summary, 2014 shows a great deal of promise for SSIAM as it continues to gain recognition from trusted institutions, winning Best Asset Management Company by The Asset in May and three prestigious awards from Asia Asset Management magazine-Best Fund House, CEO of the Year, and CIO of the Year-in January. 15/03/2013 - SSIAM was honored to be selected as "Best Asset Management Company of the Year in Vietnam". This is the first time The Asset select a company from Vietnam to this award. With SSIAM, this is also a 2nd prize SSIAM achieved – “Best Vietnam Onshore Fund House” from Asian Investor.
In May 2014 - The Asset announced a list of Triple A Award of 2014 for the best banks, investment companies and funds, in which SSI Asset Management Company (SSIAM) continued to be honoured with the Best Asset Management Company in Viet Nam.
Saigon Securities Inc (SSI) was announced as one of the Top 50 Best Listed Company 2014 in Viet Nam by Forbes magazine on June 2, 2014. The top 50 listed companies Forbes had compiled are those do not only have the best business performance in their segment and key position in the market but also have brought high return to the investors. The total capitalization of 50 companies in the list was over VND741 trillion (US$35.28 billion), equal to 65 per cent of the total capitalization of the whole stock market (calculated by April 25, 2014). According to data, there are now 692 listed companies in Viet Nam.
SSI was chosen because of its leading position in the market in many categories: leader in revenue and profit (absolute number), having the largest capital and the most foreign institutional investors as well as being No.1 in brokerage market share at HOSE.
Dated 4/10/2013 – Saigon Securities Inc (SSI) was named the “Best Local Brokerage in Vietnam” at the Asiamoney Brokers Poll 2014.
The results were based on surveys from nearly 2,500 institutions, with a total 5,490 valid individual responses, according to the organizer’s website asiamoney.com.
SSI’s present marks the second time Viet Nam has been nominated, competing with major corporations from 13 Asian countries at the prestigious award in the Asia financial sector.
Asiamoney’s organizers assessed that stability is the strongest mark in the regional markets over last year with many leading businesses still playing its roles.
